This website is from the Nidus Personal Planning Resource Centre, a non-profit charitable organization. We provide British Columbians aged 19+ to 119+ with free education and support with personal planning and Representation Agreements. We also operate the Nidus Registry – secure online storage for copies of your personal planning documents and key personal information until needed. Register your Representation Agreement today.

Nidus was established in 1995 by citizens and community groups who were involved in a grass roots law reform of adult guardianship in British Columbia. Nidus has developed expertise on BC legislation and practices as well as general concepts such as personal planning and supported decision making. Currently, there is no community-based organization like Nidus across Canada or in other countries.

If you made planning documents in another province, territory or country, they may qualify as a Representation Agreement or Enduring Power of Attorney for use in British Columbia. See the following two fact sheets for more information:
